Beast – Good Luck music video

Korean music video for Good Luck by pop group Beast, title track of their sixth mini album which was released in June 2014. Haven’t paid much attention to K-pop lately, this song caught my attention though, love the beat; and I like the fact that most songs are co-written by one of its members.

It’s good to see a K-pop group that actually makes music. Don’t get me wrong, appearance is a huge part of K-pop music culture, often more important than talent, and I’m hooked with that too. Just that it’s refreshing to see some real “artists” in the industry, which is unfortunately rare/unappreciated in K-pop.

Ailee – Heaven music video

Korean music video for Heaven by Asian American singer Ailee, starring boy band BEAST’s Gi-kwang and Jesus a mysterious actor. Decent song, nice vocal…

If not mistaken this is Ailee’s first Korean single. She has been around for a while in the US though and has some online presence before being unveiled in Korea. Beside singing she’s also making her acting debut in musical-drama Dream High 2.

Kara’s Hara dating Beast’s Junhyung

Kara Hara dating Beast JunhyungKorean girl group KARA member Goo Hara is dating boy band BEAST’s Yong Jun-hyung.

The couple’s respective agencies have released statements acknowledging the relationship on June 28, and asked for privacy for the young lovebirds who started dating just a couple of months ago.

Their relationship was made public earlier this month by Dispatch, a Korean paper, but the couple and their agencies stayed muted to the “rumour” back then.

Coming from two hugely popular idol groups, this relationship surprisingly didn’t suffer much backslash. Definitely a welcome thing, that the fans are getting more mature.
