This is one Shanghai lady that you don’t want to mess with… unhappy that her Chevrolet Captiva was being towed, she got into her car, started the engine, and drove away while pulling the tow truck along… [via Chinasmack]
Automakers should consider using this idea for their next TV commercials lol.
Happy Chinese New Year, Happy Seollal (Korean) and Happy New Year to everyone who celebrates the Lunar New Year. For others, well… best wishes to you too :)
Sharing an old CNY song by Sam Hui, “God of Wealth has Arrived” (財神到)…
A live performance from Tibetan singer Soinam Wangmo, singing the famous “Qinghai-Tibet Plateau” (青藏高原) in both Tibetan and Chinese version.
The song is singing praise to the beauty and charm of the plateau in western China.
The folkloric melody might lead people to think that it’s a traditional ethnic song, but it was actually written in 80s or 90s by renowned composer Zhang Qianyi. If not mistaken the first version of the song was sang by Li Na in Chinese; the song has been covered by numerous singers since then.
Cute little pandas… let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…
Chinese MV of “Take Me Away” (带我走 – Dai Wo Zhou) by Taiwanese artist Rainie Yang. The song is written by Qing Feng from pop-rock band Sodagreen; it’s the ending theme for drama series “Miss No Good” which stars Rainie and Wilber Pan.
A different singing style from Rainie; obviously trying to jump out of her usual cutie image. Not a bad attempt imo; it’s a decent song and is likely to become a huge hit, partly thanks to the popularity of the TV drama as well.
The song is also included in Rainie’s 4th album “Declaration of Semi-Maturity” (半熟宣言) which is scheduled to release on Nov 7…
Taiwanese pop star Jay Chou’s latest album, “Capricorn” (魔杰座), is officially released today (Oct 15) across Asia. Cool album cover; and his first promotional track “Fragrance of Rice” (稻香) sounds pretty nice (music video after the pics)…

“Eat You Up” is a dance hit by Angie Gold which was hugely popular in 1980s especially in Asia because of the covers by Japanese pop star Yōko Oginome and Hong Kong star Priscilla Chan.
I never knew the song title though… happened to bound in to this music video while searching about Korean pop star BoA’s American debut with a song of the same title.
Sharing all three music videos below (from Angie, Yoko and Priscilla); pretty catchy song and some ‘interesting’ 80s’ fashions and dance moves…
