Hong Kong erotic comedy 3D Sex and Zen: Extreme Ecstasy (3D肉蒲團之極樂寶鑑) has broken the Hong Kong box office’s first day record set by Hollywood 3D blockbuster Avatar. Movie trailer below,
3D Sex and Zen, remake of a 1991 movie, is claimed to be the world’s first 3D erotic film. The 2011 production starred little known Japanese actor Hiro Hayama, actresses Saori Hara and Yukiko Suo, and also Hong Kong actress Vonnie Lui.
The weak cast obviously doesn’t matter much. It’s said that some viewers are travelling from mainland China (where it’s banned) to watch the film.
