Danica Patrick won her first IndyCar Series race at Twin Ring Motegi in the Indy Japan 300 on April 20 and became the first female winner in IndyCar history.

Danica made her IndyCar debut in 2005 and became Rookie of the Year with some good performances. Her participation in the sport traditionally dominated by men has created a lot of buzz for motor racing fans, and the fact that she looks pretty good too has made her one of the most talk-about racing stars.

Danica’s racing career isn’t all smooth though; despite an eye-catching debut season, Danica has failed to win a single race for almost three years, and this had led to some teasing and criticism. With this Japan victory she could finally silence some critics, and hopefully this won’t be her last.
