This goat won the ‘most beautiful goat’ title at a competition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on June 13. Most beautiful? I am not sure. The most bizarre looking goat that I have ever seen though… that’s for sure.

A ‘frog crossing’ sign had been set up along a road in Karuizawa, Nagano, Japan, by a local nonprofit organization to warn drivers as the amphibians begin their spawning period.

Road sign to save the crossing frogs
Alert: frogs crossing

Between March and May, Montane Brown frogs and Japanese common toads living in a nearby forest would cross the road to lay their eggs in a pond. However, many of the frogs were ran over by cars, especially during rainy days.

Officials hoped that the sign, put up by nonprofit animal protection group Picchio, could help the frogs staying a jump ahead when it comes to safety. [Mainichi]

Perhaps the Chinese should try this too.
