I’m arranging a phone interview with Korean star BoA, who’s making her American debut with her self-titled English album. The interview should be up in a week if things are going as planned [update] The scheduled interview is cancelled.

Meanwhile, sharing a 2003 music video, Atlantis Princess from BoA’s 3rd Korean album. She was just 16-17 back then; it was this song that introduced me to the star, and it’s still one of my favourite BoA’s song…

Music video of I Did It for Love by Korean pop star BoA, featuring Sean Garrett who produced the song. IDIFL is the first track from BoA’s self-titled debut English album which is released on March 17.

Seems like SM and BoA is going full force into electronic dance music market; her lead single Eat You Up was doing well at Billboard’s Club Play chart, and IDIFL will probably be a decent hit in dance clubs as well.

It’s a different story when it comes to album sales though; both IDIFL and EYU lacked the wow factor to attract new market. Her hardcore fans might be dancing in joy with the ‘marvellous’ album, but the neutrals might not be lured as easily.

Korea’s major school uniform makers have agreed to end all celebrity endorsements indefinitely before the new school term begins in March; the cost cutting decision was made following government’s demand to halt the rising prices of school uniforms.

It’s a good call from the government and manufacturers, but some fans might mourn that they won’t be seeing their favourite idols in cute uniforms in near future. Sharing here some star-studded Korean school uniform commercials to ease their pain lol…

Korean pop star BoA will release her Best & USA compilation album(s) on March 18 which packs her Japanese best hits and also songs from her debut English album, and will be released a day earlier than the United States.

The album jacket looks cool. Some Korean folks might not be too happy though, as their favourite star is leaving them out in the cold once again.
