Kyoto fire ramen

A mini fire-show at a ramen restaurant [Jp] in Kyoto, Japan. Nothing magical, pour burning oil into water based liquid (vice versa) will do. Don’t try this at home ;)

I bet the gimmick will get them plenty of new customers, but it’s taste that matters most after all (not saying they are bad or anything). Hat tip to Japanprobe.

Bangkok is Travel+Leisure world’s best city

Bangkok is voted by readers of Travel+Leisure magazine as 2010 World’s Best City. The votes were probably cast prior to the demonstrations and riots at the Thai capital earlier this year, but the result is pretty ironic nonetheless.

Ouch, Kuala Lumpur is not on the list… ain’t surprising though.
