LG Electronics has announced that it will begin accepting pre-orders for its Curved OLED TV in Korea, making them the world’s first company to commercialised the product.

It’s said that the curved screen can provide “IMAX-like” viewing experience; and the entire screen surface is equidistant from the viewer’s eyes, eliminating the problem of screen-edge visual distortion and loss of detail.

The 55-inch TV doesn’t come cheap, priced at 15 million won (~US$13,700) per piece.
