Apple sues Samsung for copying iPhone
Apple Inc is suing Korean manufacturer Samsung for copying their entire Galaxy product range from Apple’s iPhone, iPod and iPad designs.
In the lawsuit filed last Friday, Apple claimed that “When a Samsung Galaxy phone is used in public, there can be little doubt that it would be viewed as an Apple product based upon the design alone…”
I have to agree with Apple’s statement, Galaxy products do resemble Apple’s at first glance. However, it’s not necessary the case from a close look, and in a design copyright lawsuit every details matter instead of just a first impression.
Apple should know the facts well, so it’s probably just a business gimmick to halt the growth of Samsung Galaxy, one of its fiercest competitors (though still trailing far behind) in the smartphone and tablet computer markets.
[Update] Samsung is suing Apple for violating its patent rights in return lol.

Samsung Galaxy Tab commercial
Commercial for Samsung’s Galaxy Tab, the company’s first tablet computer…
The device operates on Google’s Android OS and is smaller than Apple’s iPad, the current tablet PC market leader. There are a few features which the Galaxy seems to outrun iPad, but it’s probably just a matter of time for Apple to catch up.
I have yet to be caught with the mobile gadgets frenzy, e.g. the smart phones, PMP, tablets etc. but sooner or later these devices will be as common as a TV or the old-school PC. It’s a trend that’s going to become a norm… most people who could afford it would own one eventually.
Son Dambi & Flower Boys – Haptic Mission
The Haptic Mission is a Korean celebrity-reality show produced by Mnet, starring pop singer Son Dambi and the guys from popular drama Boys Over Flowers, i.e. Kim Joon, Kim Hyun-joong and Kim Bum.
The show was made in collaboration with Samsung’s Haptic phone division. The quartet join the company as interns in the show and have to complete tasks in each episode to promote the brand. Below is a teaser video.
[Update] Another Boys Over Flowers actor Lee Min-ho joins the show later in the season, replacing Kim Bum who left for other projects.
