45th day in Seoul, officially crossed the halfway mark of my trip.
[Update] I actually managed to screw up my day-counting; it’s day 43 instead lol.
The weather is getting a lot warmer… a week ago I was still wondering when the winter is going to end, thinking that the temperature would rise bit by bit. But it rose a lot faster; I can now walk on streets without winter coat in daytime.

Sausage wrapped in batter and French fries instead of normal bun, and it’s poked on a bamboo stick for you to hold on. Genius, only in Korea…

It’s a common street food in Seoul, most often seen at night markets; had mine at Dongdaemun area. You can’t go wrong with sausages and fries; it’s always good.

Went to Deoksugung Palace again two weeks ago to see the royal guard-changing ceremony, a re-enactment of the traditional royal practise. The show was cancelled during my first visit because of extreme cold weather.
The location I stood at wasn’t ideal for photoshoot, facing their backside most of the time lol. Still, here’s a few pics that’s worth a look…

38th day in Korea. My sister has left Seoul just hours ago; she was here for a week of holiday. So here I am, all alone again lol.
A little gift from Malaysia – Bakkwa, or dried meat, something similar to jerky. Popular Chinese new year gift in my home country; yummylicious stuff…

Dinner on Feb 14, octopus hotpot at a restaurant in Jongno. Most restaurants were closed because of Korean New Year; the food alley near the area was one of the few places which were in operation.

Burmurry is a franchise in Seoul selling traditional Korean food, i.e. tteokbokki, odeng, sundae etc. There’s a branch nearby my hostel which I frequent…

I like their teokbokki. The rice cake is standard stuff, and it’s a matter of different spiciness and sweetness with the sauce, in which their version fits my taste.
The restaurant also sells fried dumplings and twigim aka batter-dipped-fried-stuff (squid, shrimp, vege etc.). It’s tempting to have some oily food once in a while lol.

My 23rd day in Seoul. My mum is reading my blog expecting my latest stories; I’m feeling a bit guilty for the lack of updates. Quick note… I’ve been eating well, sleeping well (10-12 hours a day, must be the winter lol) and living well. Nothing that need to be worried about; take good care of yourself instead.

Lotteria (famous for burgers) is one of the biggest fast food chain in Korea. It first opened in Japan, and now with branches in China, Korea and Vietnam. Its Korean operation is probably the most successful out of all.

Tried their famous shrimp burger last week nearby Seoul (railway) Station, tasted damn good. Definitely will tried their other items again, there’s a few others on the menu which already caught my eye, i.e. kimchi burger and bulgogi burger.
