Japanese stars Yosuke Eguchi and Nanako Matsushima are reuniting again in the fourth season of popular medical drama, 24 Hours Emergency Ward.
The J-drama, first aired in 1999, would feature different theme for each season. The common trait is that it focuses on the characters, conflicts and emotions in the emergency ward instead of the flashy medical stuff.
The latest season revolves on the chronic staff shortage in the emergency ward (currently a real problem in Japan), as ER personnels are leaving due to enormous pressure and harsh working conditions.
The drama will be Matsushima’s first major project since giving birth to her 2nd child in 2007. Other announced cast includes Tae Kimura, Kii Kitano and Yusuke Santamaria. It’s scheduled to air on July 7 in Japan (the above image was season III).
