Trailer for English-Korean comedic film, The Last Godfather…
The film is directed by Shim Hyung-rae, an actor-turn-director who in recent years is busy making Korean films (including the infamous Dragon Wars) which could appeal to global audiences.
Shim himself is starring as the main lead, Yong-gu, an unexpected heir of a powerful mafia gang leader. While the father-boss is doing the mission impossible to make the slightly retarded son a worthy successor, another big shot is doing the sabotage in order to take over the organisation.
The Last Godfather was released in South Korea on Nov 30, and is set to release in the US in 2011 (no clue about the details). The co-stars include Harvey Keitel, Blake Clark, Jason Mewes, Jon Polito, Michael Rispoli and Jocelin Donahue etc. Korean pop group Wonder Girls also did a cameo.
