Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; formerly the world’s tallest buildings.

Didn’t like the towers when it was completed in the 90s; used to think that it was a complete waste of money. Only started to appreciate the project after some global travelling over the past few years… as I began to realise the significance of having some iconic buildings or landmark in a metropolis.

Took these pics in April 2008; was testing with my new DSLR camera which was bought a few days before this…

Cheow Sang was one of my most frequented restaurants in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, before I moved to Bukit Jalil in Sept 2007. In fact it’s almost a year since I dined there prior to my visit last Saturday (Nov 1).

The restaurant is popular for its Bak Kut Teh, spicy fish head and herbal chicken etc. Bak Kut Teh (literally ‘meat bone tea’ in Chinese-Hokkien) is a popular delicacy in Malaysia and Singapore. It’s primarily a thick herbal soup with pork, innards and ribs.

Cheow Sang’s BKT is just ok to be frank… what I like is their spicy fish head (pic) instead, which is cooked with fermented soy beans and fresh chillies. Not too spicy, but enough to make people sweating on their forehead… and its fish head (which was cut into cubes) is almost always fresh.

The bill was RM65 (~USD18) for three person.

Restaurant address: 24, Jalan SS 2/10, Petaling Jaya (Chow Yang area).
Phone: 03-7875 1998; closed every Thursday.

Went to Sepang International Circuit (SIC) this morning with KC to catch a glimpse of the Super GT race. Super GT is a popular auto racing series from Japan; and the Malaysian round (4th out of nine) is the only international leg at the moment.

It’s just practice sessions today; not many people around despite the free entrance. Should be having a much larger crowd for the next two days during the real races. It’s practice sessions for me too; it’s a bit challenging for a n00b to take photos of these fast moving machines…
