Apple iPhone 4S Siri

Apple has unveiled its “new” iPhone, the iPhone 4S – with a new processor, better camera, and the Siri voice system which acts like “a personal assistant”…

The artificial intelligence of Siri seems amazing in the commercial video, but I’m suspecting that it’s exaggerated; and its service zone should be very limited at the moment even if the software is as intelligent as shown. Every long journey begins with one small step though, got to give the feature a bit of credit.

The later part of the video gives me giggles. I know I’m the one who’s from stone age, but I can never understand people’s tendency to send a message instead of calling… and “speaking to the phone” to send a message is just stupid. Just call.

Samsung Galaxy Tab commercial

Commercial for Samsung’s Galaxy Tab, the company’s first tablet computer…

The device operates on Google’s Android OS and is smaller than Apple’s iPad, the current tablet PC market leader. There are a few features which the Galaxy seems to outrun iPad, but it’s probably just a matter of time for Apple to catch up.

I have yet to be caught with the mobile gadgets frenzy, e.g. the smart phones, PMP, tablets etc. but sooner or later these devices will be as common as a TV or the old-school PC. It’s a trend that’s going to become a norm… most people who could afford it would own one eventually.

Microsoft Kinect for Xbox 360

Concept video for Microsoft Kinect, a controller free motion sensing device for Xbox 360. Amazing what technology can do these days; I’m feeling old…

The Kinect is expected to hit the market in late 2010. If it can deliver what it promised in the video, it’s going to be one heck of a best seller.
