Hi, my name is YeinJee, and you are reading my travel journal.
I am from Malaysia, and I have great passion for travel. I started writing my travel journal since October 2005 during my visit to UK and Europe; I wanted to keep a good record of my travel experiences, so that I could treasure those memories for life.
I like to know a bit of history and background of places I visit, and I hope that this journal could be useful to my friends and visitors as well.

I am a 28-year-old Malaysian, my greatest passion of life is to travel around the world.
I love travelling since I was a kid, but it was until 1999 that I become determined to travel around the world. It was during a trip to Pulau Perhentian, a beautiful island in Malaysia… and I made my snorkelling debut. I could still remember the first moment I dipped my head into the water, and it’s like “Wow, what a beautiful world…”
The feeling of excitement was beyond words, and I realized from that moment on… that no matter how many travel books I read, or how many TV documentaries I am going to watch, nothing beats being at the actual spot and experience the real thing myself.
I have been travelling places since then, but I dare not call myself an experience traveller yet… there are still lots of places that I have never been, and things that I have not yet seen or done.
I am not a budget traveller. I prefer travelling with leisure; not luxurious but at least affording to stay at decent places, have decent food and to do things I want without worrying too much about the budget.
My favourite destinations are natural wonders. I am also fond of historical monuments, mysterious places and beautiful architecture.
I have a long list of places to go… and I doubt I could visit all the destinations in my life. The next few destinations that I would like (and planning) to go include Angkor Wat (Cambodia), Jiuzhaigou (China), Tokyo (Japan), Taroko Gorge (Taiwan), Petra (Jordan), Sydney (Australia) and Machu Picchu (Peru).
This travel journal is purely based on personal experience; it will only be updated whenever I travelled to some places.
