Win free airline tickets to South Korea

Korea Tourism Organisation is running series of online contests via its Korea 100 Sparkles campaign, with USD30,000 prizes to give away, and opportunities to meet some of the top Korean celebrities.

The big prizes require some creativity and work. Sharing here the easier one… watch the video below, The 5 Most Popular Tourist Destinations in Korea, and leave a comment on Youtube telling which place is your favourite and why.

Main prize is two round trip airline tickets to South Korea; contest ends on November 10. Check out the video even if you are not interested with the opportunity; pretty nice stuff…

Another contest that offer chances to meet some famous Korean stars requires a bit of creativity and video making skills. Quoted directly…

Capture the sparkling spirit of Korea with your camera and win the chance to meet a major Hallyu star.

When entering this photo and video contest, you will also be asked to select the Korean star that you would most like to meet. Then, if you win this contest, you will be meeting the star you chose face to face!

Competition period : 2009. 9. 10 ~ 10. 30

AFAIK the contests are open for worldwide entries.

I so much like Seoul city . Why I like Below I explain

Seoul, the capital of South Korea, is a city that has an official history of 600 years. It is famous for many reasons. It is considered the historical center of the country, according to the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The city was previously called Hanyang and Gyeongseongbu, then renamed Seoul in 1945, when it was freed from Japanese occupation.

Seoul has many temples and four major palaces such as Gyeongbokgung, one of the most famous. The city offers many other cultural and artistic attractions, such as the Museum of Art, which features traditional porcelain, textile and jewelry exhibits, as noted by Frommer’s. There are also old tombs and ancient remains such as the Seoul Fortress, located in the Jongno-gu, Jung-gu and Seongbuk-gu areas of the city

Seoul is also a modern city. It opened itself to the outside world in the late 19th century and became the first city in Korea to have trolley cars, railways and telephones. Since the 1960s, it industrialized rapidly and has become an economic giant center. In 1988, it hosted the Summer Olympics. In 2007, the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design named Seoul the World Design Capital 2010

Seoul is a huge city that is home to more than 10 million people. It ranks second to Tokyo in population density. The 23 million inhabitants of the greater metropolitan area amount to about half the population of the country. In addition, it is considered to have the best Internet infrastructure and connections in the world, with widespread cellphone coverage and Internet cafes throughout the metropolis

For shoppers, the Samcheongdong offers Korean antiques and artwork, Insadong market offers traditional arts and crafts, and Itaewon has clothing and accessories. There is also plenty of nightlife and entertainment, from traditional dance at the National Theater, Korean opera at the Korea House to shopping at the night markets, along with the many coffee houses and bars of the Dongdaemun district. Restaurants offer everything from traditional Korean dishes such as barbecue, kimchi, rice and noodle dishes to Western-style cuisine.

    So I like so much.

    Thanking you

    Best Regards
