Yehliu (野柳) is located at the north coast of Taiwan, and is famous for the peculiar shaped stones carved by the sea erosion.

The most famous scenic spot is called the Queen’s Head… easy to spot right?

The fairy’s sandal (use some imagination)… fishing is not really recommended

Another iconic stone

A memorial for a man who lost his life while saving some kids who fell in the water

More weird rocks

The washroom… what a great place to pee and poo lol

the place looks very special. i like the queen’s head…. it looks so real.
i think i’ve heard of yehliu before…
and the statue of the man…if he died, then were the kids saved in the end?
the fairy’s sandal looked like a slipper to me at first glance.
kyon… yupe, it’s pretty amazing. The head won’t be there forever though, as researchers are predicting that the ‘neck’ would be broken in a decade or two (although they have been saying the same thing since a few decades ago lol).
bb… I can’t remember the details, but he did save a few before he was drowned.
yehliu park, was one of the most amazing part of my visit to taiwan. although i literally couldn’t feel my legs (lol) and almost got left behind by the tourbus…. it was well worth the trip up the hill to see the panoramic view of the extraordinary rock formations… the view of the pacific ocean (correct me if i’m wrong) was breathtaking… i would go there again, this time with my kids, to educate them on the beauty of taiwan’s God given scenic view… I’ll be back for more :)
oh, yeah… i loved the loo (haha)… its exterior treasures old chinese architecture, a heritage which we should be proud of but its interior boasts modernity, a wonderful merge…
Yehliu Park is certainly worth a visit. I’ll go there again if I’m visiting Taiwan in future. Last time I was following a package-tour so the time was limited.
