A trio of the members filed a lawsuit against their agency, DSP Media, in January 2011 to terminate their exclusive contract, stating that they had lost mutual trust with the company. The group has halted their group activity in South Korea since.
It’s said that the girls have agreed to drop the lawsuit with no string attached after clearing all the “misunderstanding” with DSP. The quintet will work on their next Korean single/album, which is expected to be released in June or July.
Tens of thousands of people – probably including my sister who happens to be around – have gathered on the main streets of London to celebrate the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, which is to be held at the Westminster Abbey on Friday.
Prince William, the eldest son of the beloved late Princess Diana, began dating Kate in 2003. The couple announced their engagement in November last year, and here comes the big day.
Set aside unforeseeable circumstances, this royal couple is going to be crowned the King and Queen of the United Kingdom someday.
It’s estimated that over a billion people will be watching the live/delayed broadcast. My mum is already glued in front of the TV set, which is a bit uncharacteristic of her. I think I might have to prepare the dinner tonight… some fish & chips perhaps?
Apple has just announced that iPad 2, the second generation of its popular tablet computer, will be on sale in Asia this week.
The iPad 2 will be available in Japan on April 28; and Hong Kong, India, Israel, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey and UAE on April 29.
Set aside Japan, iPad 2 is arriving in Asia sooner than expected. The original iPad was introduced in limited Asian countries after a few months, and it’s only available in Malaysia half a year after it was launched. It’s a bit of a surprise that it’s being released so early this time.
The sales should go crazy, with people lining up hours to get the product first hand. It’s one human nature which I cannot understand… I mean, what’s the rush? We can always get it a week or two later, even if it’s temporarily out of stock.
Suggested retail price for the iPad 2 with Wi-Fi model – US$499 for the 16GB model, $599 for 32GB, and $699 for 64GB model. iPad 2 with Wi-Fi + 3G suggested retail price – $629 for 16GB, $729 for 32GB, and $829 for 64GB.
