Girls’ Generation – Genie Japanese music video

August 26, 2010 by Yein Jee

Japanese music video for Genie by Korean pop group Girls’ Generation. Identical choreo and similar concept with the Korean version. Sexy legs, decent video…

I’m not sure if I’m stereotyped with the Korean version, but this sounds kinda odd to be frank. Out of all the Korean girl groups that advanced to Japan recently, only Kara’s Mister sounds naturally like a Japanese song imo.

Genie will be officially released next month. If all those polls and surveys are trustworthy the girls should have a good chance to top the Japanese charts – the Oricon in particular – which would be a first for Korean female pop groups.

[Update] The single ranked #4 on its debut week on Oricon. Well done.
