Hong Kong first glance

October 12, 2007 by Yein Jee

Woke up early on October 5 to catch a flight to Hong Kong, together with my two elder sisters and a young niece for our 6D5N self-packed tour.

Arrived at Chek Lap Kok Airport at 2pm. We bought our Octopus Card – a useful prepaid card that can be used at most (if not all) of the mass transits and also at some convenient stores – before taking a cab to our hotel.

The weather was hot, close to 30 Celsius in temperature, which was out of our expectation at this time of the year. Hong Kong was surprisingly hazy too, presumably with polluted air from the dense industries in Mainland China.

Took a short break at our hotel before making our next move. The hotel is actually quite close to a subway station, but being n00b we took a long walk to the next station instead. On bright note it did give us a good glance of the area lol.
