The revealing outfit of actress Joanne Peh has become a hot topic on some Singapore forums. Peh was dressed in a low-cut halter-neck print dress on a cooking TV show, which at first glance kinda looked like a bikini [via Divaasia].
While some netizens are criticising her outfit as distracting and too revealing, there are others who cheer her on saying that Singaporeans are too conservative.
Personally I think it’s not a matter of sexy or revealing, but the appropriateness. The dress just doesn’t seem to fit a cooking show or any cooking activities.
I know there are lots of cooking sessions where the guests would don in revealing outfits on consistent basis for ratings sake, especially in some cheapskate Japanese and Taiwanese variety shows.
But when it comes to a genuine culinary show, I would rather have the guests focusing on their cooking skills (or no-skills) instead. There’s plenty of options to find sexiness elsewhere on TV.
