Zoo Negara, Ulu Klang, Malaysia

June 28, 2007

A visit to Malaysia’s Zoo Negara (National Zoo) earlier this month. It was our king’s birthday and a public holiday; my sister (with hubby and kids) from the northern state of Penang took the chance to visit us in Kuala Lumpur… and the zoo seemed like the perfect place for family outing, especially with a bunch of children.

Can’t remember when my prior trip to Zoo Negara was… used to visit the zoo quite often when I was a kid; it must be more than a decade ago since my last visit.

I was quite surprised to see that the zoo was in good condition; I always thought that it was poorly managed in recent years. It’s probably still far from being world class, but good enough to provide a decent experience for visitors.
