South Korea’s Gangwon Province was blanketed by more than a metre of snow earlier this week, the heaviest snowfall in the northeastern province in a century.

The record snowfall, which begun Friday (ended on Monday if not mistaken), has damaged hundreds of houses and caused at least one fatality. Beautiful, yet troublesome and deadly at the same time. Image via Chinanews [Cn].
