William & Kate royal wedding

April 29, 2011 by Yein Jee

Prince William and Kate Middleton engagement photoTens of thousands of people – probably including my sister who happens to be around – have gathered on the main streets of London to celebrate the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, which is to be held at the Westminster Abbey on Friday.

Prince William, the eldest son of the beloved late Princess Diana, began dating Kate in 2003. The couple announced their engagement in November last year, and here comes the big day.

Set aside unforeseeable circumstances, this royal couple is going to be crowned the King and Queen of the United Kingdom someday.

It’s estimated that over a billion people will be watching the live/delayed broadcast. My mum is already glued in front of the TV set, which is a bit uncharacteristic of her. I think I might have to prepare the dinner tonight… some fish & chips perhaps?

Ayumi Hamasaki marries Virgin Road actor

January 1, 2011 by Yein Jee

Japanese pop diva Ayumi Hamasaki has announced that she’s getting married with Austrian actor-model Manuel Schwarz. The couple first met when filming Ayu’s Virgin Road music video (short preview below) in August 2010.

I smell something smoky, from a shotgun maybe. Congratulation regardless.

Barbie Hsu marries billionaire heir Wang Xiaofei

November 17, 2010 by Yein Jee

Taiwanese star Barbie Hsu is technically married with Chinese billionaire heir Wang Xiaofei. The couple has registered their marriage in Beijing on Tuesday (Nov 16); their wedding ceremony is scheduled to be held in March next year.

Barbie Hsu and husband Wang Xiaofei

While it’s nothing new for celebrity to marry with rich heir, the timing was perhaps a bit shocking in this case, as the couple has known each other for less than a month when they announced their engagement in late October.

Love at first sight or whatever, the newly wed couple is old enough to make their own decision. Congratulations, and good luck. Image from Sohu [Cn].

[Update March 2011] Check out Barbie’s wedding photos at Stareastasia.
