Uniqlo miniature Japan

April 21, 2012 by Yein Jee

Screensaver from Japanese fashion house UNIQLO, which showcases various Japanese places and lifestyle in miniature form (with diorama illusion videography technique). Not as amusing as the dancing girls version, but pretty cool nonetheless…

Turn on the volume (the small icon at the middle) for full viewing pleasure. You can download the screensaver (or see it in better resolution) at UNIQLO’s website.

Beautiful musical fountain at Lotte Department Store in Busan

March 4, 2012 by Yein Jee

Video of a beautiful musical fountain at the Lotte Department Store in Busan, South Korea. Background music (for most part) is Abracadabra by pop group B.E.G.

The “graphic water fall” is a creation of Aquatique Show International, a French company specialises in modern water features. Guinness has recorded this as the world’s tallest indoor music fountain.

Going to visit this if I ever go to Busan. The city is not a high priority in my travel list though.

Timothy & Audrey meme proposal

December 29, 2011 by Yein Jee

Viral video of a meme proposal by Malaysian netrepreneur Timothy Tiah to her girlfriend Audrey Ooi, which even prompted a congratulatory tweet from Christina Perri (who sang the song in the video, A Thousand Years)…

Not a fan of meme, but the proposal is kinda interesting… at least something extra to be remembered and laughed about when they got old together. Congratulations to the couple, and have a beautiful wedding.

Google Chrome Japanese commercial

February 21, 2011 by Yein Jee

Japanese commercial (2011) by Google Japan to promote its Chrome web browser which emphasizes on speed and simplicity…

Hundreds of pictures are painted, scanned in sequence, opened on Chrome, and it turned into a mini-animation when the tabs are closed rapidly.

Not sure if other browsers could do similar stuff. There are other factors involved… the PC performance for example. In my case my browser would almost certainly crash, for whatever reason it is. Regardless, it’s a pretty cute commercial.
