The ‘youngest’ Korean pop group GP Basic has released their debut MV, Game…
Nothing special, but doesn’t suck. With the makeup and styling the girls are looking older than their age… makes me wonder what’s the point of debuting such a young group if they are going for a mature and empowering concept.
GP Basic – dubbed the youngest Korean pop group with an average age of below 14 – is set to make their official debut later this month.
While it’s normal for neighbouring Japan to debut their idols at such young age, the trend has recently caught up in Korea. Another J-pop culture that’s creeping into K-pop is the sexing up of idols image which is often beyond their age… can’t say it’s a good thing, but it’s happening regardless.
Let’s just hope that this upcoming six-members girl group won’t be overexploited by their employer and could happily show off their talents in a proper manner.
