Victoria Peak’s Hong Kong night view
Victoria Peak (太平山) is famous for its bird-eye view over Hong Kong…
The journey to the peak didn’t start off well, had a bit of quarrel in some queue-cutting mainland-Chinese tourists. But the spoilt mood was appease after reaching the peak, thanks to the pretty spectacular aerial view of Victoria Harbour.

Ocean Park Hong Kong
Ocean Park Hong Kong (香港海洋公園) was opened in 1977 and located at the southern part of Hong Kong Island. It happened to be a huge holiday for mainland Chinese during our visit, thus the park was really crowded.
Star Ferry, Hong Kong
The Star Ferry service in Hong Kong has been in operation since 1888.
BP International House, Hong Kong
We stayed at BP International House (香港龍堡國際賓館) for the first two nights in Hong Kong before transferring to Disney’s Hollywood Hotel later on.

Our room view at BP International – Victoria Harbour should be visible in good weather, but it was really hazy during our 2007 visit. Not a bad view regardless.
BP is the acronym for Baden Powell, the founder of Scout Movement. The 25-storey building is actually the Hong Kong Scout Centre; the headquarters only occupied a few floors though, the rest are hotel rooms and facilities.
Great location, reasonable price, nice staff. Room was small, but it’s probably a norm in Hong Kong where land and space are in premium. And if you are lucky you might get a decent room view of Tsim Sha Tsui and a bit of Victoria Harbour.

Hong Kong skyline & Symphony of Lights
A Symphony of Lights (幻彩詠香江) is an orchestrated light and laser show featured on buildings situated on both sides of the Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong. It’s the world’s largest permanent light and sound show. It starts on 8pm daily (if the weather permits) and lasts about 15 minutes.
