Trailer for American crime action movie Contraband, starring Mark Wahlberg, Kate Beckinsale, Ben Foster, Giovanni Ribisi, Caleb Landry Jones, and J.K. Simmons. In cinemas January 2012.
Contraband is a remake of a 2008 Icelandic film Reykjavík-Rotterdam starring Baltasar Kormákur. The actor took the role of the director instead for the Hollywood production.
The world of smuggling
Official intro… “Set in New Orleans, the film explores the cutthroat underground world of international smuggling – full of desperate criminals and corrupt officials, high-stakes and big payoffs – where loyalty rarely exists and death is one wrong turn away.”
In short, Wahlberg stars as an ex-smuggler who lives a peaceful life with his wife and kids, but has to go back into the business one more time to save his family. Despite branded as a “remake” the plot seems quite different from the original hit. The trailer seems decent though.

I’m quite a fan of the original film (2003) – about the war between the vampires and lycans. Not a fan of the sequels though, and this latest one looks like crap.
