Free Breakfast at McDonald’s Malaysia

November 18, 2012 by Yein Jee

McDonalds Malaysia free breakfastMcDonald’s Malaysia will be giving away free Egg McMuffin to the first 1000 visitors of each of the 215 restaurant nationwide on November 19 to celebrate its Breakfast Day.

Not sure what’s the purpose besides marketing gimmick. At least they have the courtesy to offer it absolutely free (one per customer) with no string attached.

This sort of promotion is often a double-edge sword. Some folks will happily grab the freebies while bunch of others disgruntled (empty-handed, long queue etc.)

Check McDonald’s (MY) website for details. Should be interesting to see what happens tomorrow… knowing Malaysians it will be pretty rowdy at some outlets.

Domino’s Malaysia – What is Passion

September 8, 2012 by Yein Jee

A cheesy (pun intended) Malaysian commercial for Domino’s Pizza. I lived in an unusual housing zone where no fast food restaurants could provide delivery service, until Domino’s opened a branch nearby a couple of years ago. Not really a fan of Domino’s (or pizza in general) before that but I’ve became a loyal customer since.

Orkid Ria Seafood Restaurant, Langkawi, Malaysia

October 14, 2009 by Yein Jee

Dinner at Orkid Ria Seafood Restaurant during my Langkawi trip in August 2009. A visit to Langkawi Island wouldn’t be complete without a seafood meal, and we decided to splurge a bit with…

Lobster muahaha!!!

Lobster stir-fried with chilli paste; probably not a wise option, as the strong seasoning was too dominant that it’s hard to taste the original lobster flavour. Nice texture though; freshness at its best…

Chao Yen Teochew restaurant, Sunway Pyramid, PJ

September 6, 2009 by Yein Jee

Dined at Chao Yen restaurant at Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall in July 2009, which branded itself for authentic Teochew cuisine.

Teochew food focuses on braised, steamed and salt-preserved cooking methods; and probably most famous for its congee with variety of side dishes.

Braised intestines, duck meat, squid and tofu

Combo of some iconic braised dishes…

Dined at the New Restaurant Ipoh Chicken Rice in Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur last weekend. It’s a branch of a famous restaurant (in Gasing, PJ) which has been operating since 1977; this one was opened a couple of years ago.
