SKE48 launch official Youtube channel

Japanese pop group SKE48 has launched their official Youtube channel earlier this month. Their sister group AKB48 is currently one of the most popular pop groups in Japan, and SKE48’s popularity seems to be growing too.

Check out two of SKE48’s earlier PV, Tsuyokimono yo (強き者よ) and Aozora Kataomoi (青空片想い), and also the new I’m Sorry, Summer (シングル「ごめんね), title track of their third single album which is to be released next month…

AKB48 top with Sakura no Shiori

Japanese pop group AKB48’s latest single, Sakura no Shiori, (桜の栞) has topped the recent Oricon sales chart with over 300,000 copies sold in its first week of release, a record best in seven years for Japanese female artists.

It’s a nice choir-like song which is perfect for graduation season. The group’s debut single, Sakura no Hanabiratachi, was also a graduation themed song.
