The Young Contemporary Artist Award goes out to artists in their 20s and 30s as recognition by the government for the artists’ achievements and cultural impact.

Meanwhile, actress Goh Doo-shim and actor Kim Sung-hwan received the Okgwan Cultural Medal of Honour and the Hwagwan Cultural Medal of Honour respectively for their long-term contributions to the popular arts sector [via KBS].

Korean pop group Wonder Girls were caught in a car accident on Friday.

The accident occurred around 1.20 am (Sept 14) when the girls were on their way back to Seoul after a performance in Busan. The girls suffered minor injuries, but the driver of the other vehicle died unfortunately.
