Japanese jeweller golden Xmas tree

Japanese jeweller Ginza Tanaka has unveiled a Christmas tree made of pure gold worth 1.95 million US Dollars. The golden Xmas tree is about 2.4 metres tall and 12 kilograms in weight. It’s currently displayed at the company’s main store in Tokyo.

As expensive as it is, the golden piece is way “cheaper” than the world’s most expensive Christmas tree (~$11mil) which was showcased at a luxury hotel in UAE last year.

Odaiba Gundam Project 2011

A “torn-apart” life-size Gundam model is currently on exhibition in Odaiba, Tokyo. The Gundam stood tall at previous exhibitions in the past two years, but the organiser decides to make things a bit different this time for the visitors to have a closer look at the design. Ryoko Hirosue, Keio, Mount Takao

Japanese actress Ryoko Hirosue in a 2010-2011 photoset for KEIO Corp, shot at Mt Takao in Hachioji City. The mountain is a popular recreation and hiking spot due to its close proximity to Tokyo. KEIO runs one of the major railway lines that provide access to the mountain, it took only an hour of train ride from city centre to reach the place.

I thought it was some little kids cosplaying at first, but it turns out to be some brilliant 3D animations by Tony Lymboura [YT] and co. That explains why the bypassers were so nonchalant with the troopers.
