World’s highest paid models 2015

The highest paid models between June 2014 and June 2015 according to Forbes.

1. Gisele Bundchen – 2. Adriana Lima, Cara Delevingne – 4. Doutzen Kroes – 5. Natalia Vodianova – 6. Joan Smalls, Miranda Kerr – 8. Karlie Kloss, Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lara Stone

Gisele Bündchen has topped the list since 2007 and by a huge margin these days. The Brazilian is a highly successful businesswoman though, so large part of her income may come from her business instead of usual modelling works.

Singapore is best place to do business

Singapore tops the ease of doing business chart for the ninth consecutive year. The ranking is featured in the Doing Business report, published annually by the World Bank Group which measures regulations that enhance business activity and those that constrain it.

The top 10 economies with the most business-friendly regulatory environments are Singapore, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Denmark, South Korea, Norway, United States, United Kingdom, Finland and Australia.

My country Malaysia is ranked at 18th, not bad at all. Economic powerhouse China is ranked at 90th.

Top 10 Chinese Tourist Cities

China Radio International, with support from the National Tourism Administration, has organised an online poll to pick the Top 10 Chinese Tourist Cities. More than five million votes were cast, and the winning cities were announced in early December. Below are some intros of the 10 destinations in none particular order…

Luoyang lies in the west of Henan, crossing two banks of the middle reach of Yellow River and is one of China’s Four Great Ancient Capitals. Its famous heritage sites include the Longmen Grottoes and the White Horse Temple. The city is also famous as a cultivation centre for peony, one of China’s famous emblems.

Japan has highest industrial robot density

There are one million industrial robots around the world (as of Dec 2008), and Japan has the highest density with 295 robots for every 10,000 manufacturing workers.

Actress Kim Tae-hee is chosen as Korea’s most beautiful woman in a recent KBS survey with 15,222 respondents. The top 10 in sequence are… Kim Tae-hee, Lee Young-ae, Han Ga-in, Song Hye-kyo, Kim Hee-sun, Son Ye-jin, Han Ye-seul, Jun Ji-hyun, Kim Hye-soo and Shim Eun-ha.

Japan’s Oricon Chart [Jp] has released the Top 100 Japanese albums/singles ranking for 2008. Pop band EXILE dominates the album chart while the singles are ruled by Johnny’s boybands, i.e. Arashi and KAT-TUN etc.
