The accidental leaning tower of Liuzhou

A building demolition gone wrong in Liuzhou, China, in December 2009. Instead of tumbling straight to the bottom; the building swayed sideway… one of the blocks fell completely while another stood proud as a momentarily landmark in the city.

No casualties were reported. The buildings were later dismantled using heavy machines (perhaps this?) and mechanical methods. [Image via Sina][Cn].
