Promotional video for Sarai no Kaze, the fifth Japanese single by May, a South Korean artist. The PV featured Japanese actresses Erika Toda, Ryoko Hirosue and Miki Arimura. Cold Wintry Wind is a loose translation of the song title.
May made her début on a Japanese music-talent TV show in 2005 and has released singles/albums both in Japan and South Korea. All the results are so-so thus far, including this one and a later studio album in January 2007.
Her label Avex must have seen potential in her to feature this trio though. Toda and Hirosue are highly sought after, while Arimura is a rising star in modelling world.
The actresses
Erika Toda is a popular teen actress. She started acting in 2000 and probably best known for movie Death Note in 2006. She made further breakthrough this year with highly-rated drama series Liar Game, but that’s after May’s MV.
Ryoko Hirosue is a veteran despite her young age (27). She has starred in many dramas and movies and won multiple awards. She’s making her showbiz comeback after taking a semi-break following her marriage and motherhood.
Miki Arimura started her entertainment career in 2004. She has featured in a few TV shows but is better known as a fashion model, famous for her beautiful long legs.
