Chinese actress Li Bingbing will feature on November issue of L’Officiel…

“The Assembly”, a warfare movie by Chinese director Feng Xiaogang became the biggest winner at the 29th Full Blossom Awards presented on Saturday (Sept 13) in the City of Dalian, China.
The Assembly won the best movie, best director, best leading actor (Zhang Hanyu) and best supporting actor awards (Deng Chao).
The best actress and supporting actress awards are won by Li Bingbing and Taiwanese veteran Gua Ah Leh respectively with movie “The Knot”.
Harper’s Bazaar magazine (Chinese edition) held their sixth annual charity gala in Beijing last Friday (Aug 22) with the attendance of some 300 celebrities, including A-list stars like Michelle Yeoh, Zhang Ziyi and former UK’s Prime Minister Tony Blair etc.
The 2008 gala managed to raise 10.35 million Yuan (~USD1.5 million) which will be channelled to the relief work in quake-hit areas in Sichuan province.

“The Forbidden Kingdom”, starring action superstars Jet Li and Jackie Chan, has topped the North American box office over the weekend.
The movie managed to haul in USD20.9 million in ticket sales (according to studio estimates) from Friday to Sunday in US and Canadian theaters.
“The Forbidden Kingdom”, starring action superstars Jet Li and Jackie Chan, is set to premiere on April 18 in US and some other countries.
Jet and Jackie, along with director Rob Minkoff, action choreographer Yuen Woo Ping and actresses Liu Yifei and Li Bingbing, met the press at a media event in Beijing on April 14 to promote the movie.
