Korean pop group Wonder Girls are launching their own cosmetic line WG with Wonder Girls. Some promotional pics have been released/leaked online recently, featuring new member Hae-rim in replacement of Sun Mi who leaves the group.

This should be the first photoset of Wonder Girls with the new member (bottom right on first pic). Also embedded a BTS video at the end of the post…

Korean pop group Wonder Girls have released a Mandarin version of their hit song Nobody (audio only, MV to be embedded once available)…

The pop group which undergone a member reshuffle last month, is set to release their first Mandarin album on February 12. The album will consist mostly Chinese version of their Korean hit songs, i.e. Nobody, So Hot and Tell Me etc.

Their Chinese sounds more natural than their English; and they should find that it’s much easier to penetrate the Chinese market as compared to the US. The girls are also set to release their full English album in April.

Sun Mi (or Mimi) is leaving Korean pop group Wonder Girls, at least temporarily, to continue her studies back in Korea. The 17-year-old will take an indefinite break after wrapping up the activities in the US by late February.

Korean pop group Wonder Girls made their American prime time TV debut on popular show So You Think You Can Dance as guest performers on December 9; performing the English version of their hit song Nobody

No comment about the performance; but their boss JYP is doing some serious PR stuff in US. First as guest stars for Jonas Brothers, then on national TV, and now on prime time; he is doing everything right to promote the girls.

Btw, wondering why Sun Mi was wearing (a really cool pair of golden) sneakers instead of high heels like the rest of the members. Cute though.

Fried/roasted chicken must be a huge biz in Korea, or perhaps it’s cheap to hire Korean celebs to endorse their product, or probably a bit of both.

Sharing here some Korean commercials featuring popular girls groups SNSD, Wonder Girls, Kara and 4minutes for different chicken restaurant chains…

Video from Korean pop group Wonder Girls’ official Youtube channel, a mash-up of their performances as opening act for the Jonas Brothers’ concert at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York on July 19-21…

Seems like the Wonder Girls are performing Nobody, Nobody and Nobody besides “Nobody” throughout the tour so far. Seriously, aren’t they going to sing another song? An English version of “Tell Me” perhaps?

The girls are obviously getting noticed, for good or bad, among Jonas fans. But if they want to get bigger publicity in the US, they need something more than just singing the same old song with the same old look for two long months.

Korean pop group Wonder Girls performs the English version of their hit song “Nobody” at The Wendy Williams Show on Monday (July 21), which was apparently the girls’ American TV debut…

To be frank I’m not sure who Wendy Williams is, but it’s a national TV show… can’t be bad in terms of exposure. Check the official clip on Wendy’s blog if the video above is not working [video via chanesechic@Youtube]

Korean pop star Park Jin-young JYPSeems like the MTV Asia Awards will be back to Malaysia again in 2009, according to Korean pop mogul JYP that is.

No official confirmation has been made by MTV Asia yet, but JYP lets his words slipped with his recent Tweet

“Sorry cuz of the Jonas Brothers tour we can’t go to da MTV asian awards in Malaysia. But I’m sending 2pm so don’t b too sad!”

The ‘we’ is referring to JYP’s favourite employees, the Wonder Girls, who are busy working as opening act for Jonas Brothers’ tour in USA; and as replacement his company is sending boy band 2PM to the award ceremony instead.

Funny thing is most folks didn’t know that MAA will be held in Malaysia again, or if it would be held at all in 2009… and we certainly didn’t know that the Wonder Girls were scheduled to come at the first place.
