Korean pop group Wonder Girls will be starring in a reality show, “Wonder Bakery” in which they will be pairing up with aspiring bakers to compete for a cash prize of 10 million Won (~USD8,000). A star-studded K-pop concert will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on November 4 as part of the Korea Festival 2008 (Nov 1-18) organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
The concert will feature some of the hottest K-pop stars, including the Wonder Girls, Shinhwa’s Andy & Junjin, Jewelry, Chae Yeon, and V.O.S etc.
The concert tickets will not be sold through the usual outlets, but will be given away over the next few weeks through the key sponsors [more on Coolsmurf]
Other events during the festival are food fiesta, traditional dance performances, taekwondo demonstrations, film festival and contemporary art exhibition etc. Check out the event website for details and updates.
Sounds like a fun event; too bad that the concert tickets are not for sale.

Korea’s 13th Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) opened last Thursday (Oct 2) and will run until October 10. The opening ceremony of the event was marred by the suicide news of Choi Jin-shil that early morning, but the show must go on.

Chuseok (추석 - Full Moon Harvest) is a Korean festival celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month in lunar calendar (Sept 14 in 2008).
Chuseok is one of the two biggest holidays in Korea (the other is Seollal the Korean New Year). It is considered the Korean equivalent of Thanksgiving and a time to honour ancestors with newly harvested grains and fruits [more on KoreaNet]
